Design Principal
Mr. Swapnil Kshirsagar, Hailing from a family of academicians, Swapnil Kshirsagar has worked his way to becoming a respectable and self-made man. His family worked in the education sector which has instilled strong values of morality and discipline within him from a young age. Inspired by his mother’s upbringing, today, he is a hard-working and self-sufficient businessman who is very focused on his goals and dedicated to his craft. He recognises his duty towards his nation as well as its people. Over the years, he has aimed to help individuals of varying socio-economic background build a life of comfort and functionality. Through Design 11, he has done his bit to provide quality services to not only some of the biggest luxury projects in Pune but also to non-profit organisations as well as government projects. Vivek Bhole Architects is a leading architectural firm in Mumbai with 200+ staff and 50,000 sq.ft office space. At the helm of affairs is India’s leading Architect Vivek Bhole, who has over 20 years of design experience including many iconic projects. Mr Bhole has been instrumental in guiding the firm’s expansion and ensuring that the highest standards of coordination, technical innovation and design quality are always maintained. Based on traditional knowledge, Design 11 implemented a structure cooling system which uses water to reduce the structural heat, thereby reducing energy inputs for air conditioning by a minimum of 30%.
Design 11 calculated the carbon footprint of each project, to realise that conventional construction material such as cement, steel and aluminium contribute heavily towards carbon footprint. Design 11 considered alternatives such as lime and other such materials that are found in nature and are friendly to nature. Design 11 reinvented traditional lime technology to replace conventional cement that greatly contributes to environmental pollution. Lime bricks, lime mortar, lime plaster, and lime finish created structures that are strong, long-lasting and with an excellent finish. This method also reduced the use of cement by 40%.
